Job summary

24-MAG LLC is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to build and deploy mission-critical AI systems for U.S. Government environments. The role spans applied AI research, production engineering, and forward-deployed implementation in high-security settings, with ownership from discovery to deployment.

Ideal candidates have strong Python skills, experience with LLMs and agentic AI, and a background in data pipelines and distributed systems. Hybrid work in the Washington, D.C.

Qualifications

• Strong Python engineering skills with end-to-end ownership.
• Experience building production applications using LLMs.
• Hands-on experience with agentic or multi-agent AI systems.
• Experience building or maintaining data pipelines or ML infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems.
• Familiarity with reinforcement-learning workflows or simulation environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy advanced AI systems for high-impact government missions.
• Work directly with government partners to translate requirements into secure, reliable AI systems.
• Take projects from discovery through deployment, reliability, security, and iteration.
• Design and implement production-grade LLM applications and multi-agent workflows.
• Develop and maintain large-scale data-curation pipelines and ML infrastructure.
• Own architecture, deployment, and production iteration in high-security environments.
