micro1 is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to advance applied AI across research and production, including forward-deployed work with government partners to ensure mission success.

You will own end-to-end systems, design multi-agent LLM applications, build data pipelines, and develop infrastructure for model inference and evaluation in high-security environments. This remote-first role requires relocation to the DC area and emphasizes reliability and security.

Qualifikationen

• Strong Python engineer with end-to-end ownership experience.
• Experience with LLMs and creating agentic systems.
• Built or maintained data pipelines / ML infrastructure.
• Familiar with RL workflows or simulation environments.
• Comfortable in high-security / high-reliability environments.

Aufgaben

• Build and deploy agentic AI systems from prototype to production for high-impact missions.
• Design and integrate LLM applications, including multi-agent systems and RAG workflows.
• Collaborate with government partners in forward-deployed environments to translate needs into tech.
• Develop data curation and evaluation pipelines for model training and improvement.
• Create infrastructure for model inference, experimentation, evaluation, and deployment.
• Turn mission data, models, and tools into operational autonomous systems.
• Own systems across discovery, architecture, implementation, deployment, reliability, security, and iteration.
