Job summary

Alpert JFS seeks a Food Pantry Operations Manager to oversee procurement, storage, and distribution of food for community members in need. The role trains and supervises volunteers and serves as liaison for community food insecurity efforts.

Responsibilities include managing three pantry locations, inventory, vendor relations, and monthly reporting. Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years working in a nonprofit with at least one year program oversight.
• Experience recruiting and/or working with volunteers.
• Strong communication and leadership; ability to interact with staff, volunteers, and community.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the three pantry locations (Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach, and Boynton Beach).
• Weekly visits to each location; manage inventory and submit reports.
• Work with vendors to order food and supplies; manage monthly pantry spend.
• Schedule volunteers and coordinate packing, sorting, stocking shelves.
• Track donations and deliver checks to accounting; record in-kind donations.
• Coordinate monthly facility packaging setup with Temple’s Executive Director.
