Job summary

Daisy Brand is seeking a Packaging Engineer to design, develop, and improve packaging for our dairy products. You will select materials, qualify suppliers, and work with cross-functional teams to optimize performance while maintaining compliance with food safety regulations.

This hybrid role requires onsite presence several days per week and periodic travel. You will lead sustainability efforts, assess material performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 1–5 years in packaging engineering or related roles, with food manufacturing focus.
• Experience with food-grade packaging materials and shelf-life extension techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop packaging solutions for new and existing food products.
• Qualify packaging materials across the supply chain and collaborate with suppliers.
• Lead continuous improvement projects with operations and suppliers.
• Provide troubleshooting support for packaging issues in production and distribution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate packaging requirements into products.
• Identify cost-effective, compliant packaging options and contingencies.
• Ensure designs meet FDA/USDA and global food-safety regulations.
