Job summary

UC San Diego's Undergraduate Colleges Business Office seeks a Fiscal Coordinator to join a team that supports financial operations across multiple units. You will help manage budgets, process financial transactions, and ensure accurate reporting.

Under supervision, you will handle PO processing, UCPath funding, Concur requests, cost transfers, reconciliations, and occasional project work. Overtime may be required during close.

Qualifications

• Experience using online financial systems to reconcile ledgers and produce monthly statements.
• Knowledge of budgeting, fund accounting, and bookkeeping for department records and reports.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide fiscal administration and customer service for 300 staff and 700+ student employees.
• Submit and review Purchase Orders, UC Path funding, Concur requests and reports.
• Perform cost transfers, lift commitments, and UCPath funding adjustments.
• Conduct audits, reconciliation of ledgers, and resolve complex vendor problems.
• Assist with special projects and act as liaison with colleges and central offices.
