Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Senior FinOps Financial Analyst to lead cloud financial management, forecasting, and cost optimization.

You will develop dashboards for cloud cost transparency and partner with IS/Finance to promote accountability, while mentoring junior analysts and supporting budget processes.

Hybrid work schedule (onsite 1-2 days/week); salary range $68,369.60–$123,073.60 with potential adjustments based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, Data Science, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of directly relevant finance experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Experience with cloud cost management/FinOps practices including forecasting, billing, and optimization.
• Familiarity with Azure Cost Management or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead FinOps forecasting activities including predictive analytics and total cost of ownership analysis.
• Implement FinOps billing practices such as usage metering and chargeback reporting.
• Execute FinOps optimization strategies including rightsizing and reservation planning.
• Develop dashboards for cloud cost transparency using Azure Cost Management or similar tools.
• Partner with IS, Finance, and leaders to promote cloud cost accountability and governance.
• Mentor junior Financial Analysts and support budgeting processes.
