Job summary

MassHousing is seeking a Manager of Financial Reporting to lead external financial filings, audits, and regulatory reports from their Boston office. You will develop accounting policies, strengthen internal controls, and ensure timely reporting under GASB standards.

The role leads audits, supports policy memos, and collaborates across Finance to deliver accurate, compliant results while mentoring staff in a hybrid, on-site work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or commensurate work experience.
• 7+ years of experience in a large financial institution, nationally recognized credit review organization, or CPA firm.
• Experience with GASB accounting standards, required GASB financial reporting disclosures, and financial service entity disclosures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Eligibility to work in, and travel freely to and from, the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and timely submission of the Agency’s Annual Report and other reports.
• Coordinate audits and oversee regulatory and compliance reporting.
• Support internal reporting and financial analysis; review quarterly statements.
• Collaborate on ad hoc reporting and documentation of accounting treatments.
• Lead, coach, and develop Finance staff and maintain MassHousing values.
• Uphold information security policies and protect agency assets.
