Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. seeks a Financial Reporting Accountant to join the Corporate team in San Diego. This hybrid role combines onsite collaboration with remote work and supports consolidated financial statements, SEC filings, and U.S. GAAP compliance.

You will work with Corporate Accounting, Business Unit accounting, FP&A, and internal auditors to ensure timely, accurate financial data, strengthen SOX controls, and prepare materials for audits and Board presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and consolidation.
• Support monthly and quarterly global consolidation and foreign currency translation.
• Prepare intercompany eliminations and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with corporate/divisional accounting to ensure completeness of submissions.
• Assist with ASC 842 lease accounting and related queries.
• Provide audit support schedules and respond to auditor requests.
• Support FP&A and Board presentation materials.
