Job summary

University of Illinois Chicago seeks a Financial Aid Manager for the Office of the Dean, College of Medicine. This role balances administrative leadership with direct student service, supervising financial aid advisors and overseeing complex awarding processes across four sites.

You will ensure compliance with Title IV regulations, manage verification, and collaborate with Financial Planning and Student Accounts to counsel students.

Qualifications

• Three years total experience from combination including office management or customer service.
• Two years of higher education, student services, or related experience.
• One year of supervisory experience in higher education or student services.

Responsibilities

• Help manage all federal, state, and university programs awarded within the office.
• Package eligible students for financial aid.
• Serve as a liaison between the COM and other university departments.
• Communicate with students and administrators across multiple sites.
• Travel to Peoria, Rockford, and Urbana sites as needed.
• Assist with special projects and supervise staff in Directors' absence.
• Process and determine financial aid for all four sites; verify applications.
• Counsel students and families on eligibility and available aid programs.
