Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to provide information and interpretation of financial aid policies, advising students and parents on university, federal, and state aid programs. The role analyzes student data and verifies documentation to determine eligibility and processes the initial and follow-up evaluation of student files.

The position is hybrid, with on-site days required and to be determined.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• 1-3 years related experience.
• Ability to apply knowledge of policies to individual situations.
• Demonstrates written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise students and parents regarding all aspects of financial aid, including various University, Federal, and State programs.
• Analyze student data and verify the integrity of documentation to determine eligibility for student aid programs.
• Process documents for the initial and follow-up evaluation of student files.
