Job summary

Protolabs in Maple Plain, MN is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to bridge finance and technology in a global, fast-paced environment. The role partners with worldwide Finance teams to improve processes, enhance system capabilities, and drive operational excellence, collaborating with software development and Global Technology Services.

You will gather requirements, drive improvements, plan ERP upgrades, and maintain Dynamics AX to support standardized processes and data visibility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting a commercial business operating on Microsoft AX Dynamics 2012 R3 or D365 F&O/SCM.
• Experience implementing and maintaining AX intercompany and direct delivery functionality.
• Experience in BI tools and SQL queries used to analyze data issues and provide ad-hoc reporting.
• Competent in working in a fast-paced business and able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
• Ability to develop solid relationships with colleagues in a professional manner to create a positive working environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements for global finance process and software changes.
• Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying areas needing improvement or automation.
• Participate in software planning with Global Technology Services (GTS).
• Document and train users on new functionality and processes.
• Respond to incidents, identify root cause, and drive solutions through process and software changes.
• Implement new financial system applications.
• Assist in planning ERP upgrades or migrations.
• Maintain and configure Microsoft Dynamics AX in accordance with best practices.
• Become a subject matter expert in Protolabs global financial systems and processes.
• Provide audit support for software changes and security access reviews.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve tool functionality, and enhance overall system and process maturity.
