Job summary

AAA is seeking a highly energetic Membership Sales Specialist to drive new memberships through face-to-face engagement at community events, trade shows, and partner sites. The role is hybrid, requiring a weekly branch visit and flexible schedules for evenings, weekends, and holidays to support promotions and events.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in retail or event-based sales, a valid driver's license, and comfort using mobile devices and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Sell memberships and related services at community events, retail partner sites, festivals, fairs, and pop-up locations.
• Engage consumers one-on-one using a confident, friendly, and persuasive sales approach.
• Explain membership benefits, pricing, and value propositions to drive immediate enrollments.
• Serve as a brand ambassador while representing the organization in high-traffic public environments.
• Set up, operate, and break down promotional booths and displays at off-site events.
• Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
• Use consultative and needs-based selling techniques to close individual transactions.
• Generate cross-sell leads for additional products and services.
• Accurately document sales, leads, and customer interactions using company systems.
• Participate in local marketing and awareness efforts through community outreach.
• Build rapport and long-term relationships to support renewals, referrals, and brand loyalty.
• Work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support promotions, campaigns, and event execution.
