Job summary

Eastern Research Group, Inc. (ERG) is seeking a Power BI Developer to support development, implementation, and enhancements of mission-critical systems in a federal environment. The ideal candidate will have Power BI, SharePoint, SQL, and Microsoft Power Platform experience and will translate operational requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions.

The position will initially be a hybrid role with potential to transition to remote work based on business needs and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ years of software design/development experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for process improvement.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, and SharePoint.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate/Power Apps).
• Experience with C#, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, Dataverse, SQL Server, or Azure SQL.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, SDLC, requirements analysis, and data governance.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure solutions comply with federal security, documentation, data governance, and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and identify automation opportunities.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reporting tools, compliance tracking, and metrics for leadership visibility and audit readiness.
• Configure applications, automated workflows, data structures, and integrations using Microsoft technologies
• Design and manage SQL-based databases and data solutions (modeling, migration, cleanup, mapping, validation).
• Configure and administer SharePoint Online and on-premises sites, permissions, workflows, and repositories.
• Test and deploy solutions, coordinate user acceptance testing, gather feedback, and implement enhancements.
• Create technical and user documentation and provide user support and training.
• Serve as client liaison, communicating technical information and ensuring solutions align with requirements.
• Provide project updates and communicate system status, enhancements, and recommendations to stakeholders.
