Job summary

NTT DATA Federal Services is seeking an IT Business Analyst in Rockville, MD, to analyze business processes, gather requirements, and deliver technology and process improvements for federal clients. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders, project teams, and IT staff to translate needs into actionable requirements.

You will support both Agile and Waterfall environments, develop BRDs/FRS, and assist in creating dashboards and reports for executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting IT, digital transformation, or business process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Experience with requirements management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with federal agency stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Conduct business process analysis, workflow assessments, and gap analyses to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop BRDs, FRS, user stories, and process maps.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, interviews, and requirements-gathering sessions.
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements for technical teams.
• Support Agile and Waterfall project management, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and UAT.
• Analyze data and metrics to support business decisions.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
