Qualifications

• Five-plus years in underwriting, policy services, or related business experience.
• Bachelor’s/Assoc. degree or equivalent business experience criterion.
• Proven ability to build agent/colleague relationships and market knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new business, renewals, and endorsements within authority.
• Independently manage assigned territory and agency submissions.
• Build strong agent relationships and coordinate with Regional Sales Manager.
• Negotiate price, terms, and conditions with agency partners.
• Generate submissions aligned with underwriting appetite and sales goals.
• Assess catastrophe exposures and determine need for facultative reinsurance.
• Escalate risks beyond authority and document files per standards.
• Lead or join agency meetings and trainings; attend industry events.
• Support strategic initiatives, testing, and process improvements with IT.
• Mentor less experienced associates when needed.
