Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related field.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in event planning, marketing/advertising, or administration.
• Strong budgeting, contracts, data management, and policy knowledge.
• Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute events hosted by MIT departments and external partners.
• Manage full lifecycle: scheduling, logistics, décor, catering, AV, vendors, speakers, transportation.
• Handle budgets, invoicing, promotion, registration, and evaluation; provide onsite support.
• Maintain the event calendar, optimize space, and administer policies and contracts.
• Partner with Facilities and SoE Dean’s Office to market venues and report performance.
