CHILDREN AT RISK (C@R) seeks an experienced Events and Project Coordinator to lead logistics, marketing, and communications for signature fundraising events (gala, golf tournament, luncheon) and donor stewardship activities in Houston. Hybrid work arrangement with travel across Harris County and Texas.

You will manage budgets, vendor relationships, sponsor fulfillment, and on-site execution, while partnering with the Director of Major Gifts and the development team to ensure accurate donor

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience planning and executing large fundraising events such as galas or golf tournaments.
• Strong budgeting, vendor management, and post‑event reporting abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with attention to donor stewardship.
• Comfortable piloting AI tools to speed up content and marketing workflows, with reviewer oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end fundraising event logistics including budgeting, venue selection, vendor negotiations, and volunteer coordination.
• Plan donor cultivation events, stewardship activities, and recognition opportunities.
• Own event marketing and communications, including invitations, materials, social media content, and post‑event reports.
• Coordinate sponsor fulfillment and donor records with the Major Gifts team.
• Oversee on‑site event execution and post‑event wrap‑up, ensuring guest and donor experiences meet quality standards.
• Develop event timelines and track milestones to keep programs on schedule and within budget.
• Collaborate with internal teams and partners to align goals, roles, and deliverables.
