Job summary

Houston Humane Society is seeking a skilled Corporate Relations and Special Events Manager to drive revenue through sponsorships, fundraising events, and digital campaigns. You will secure and renew partners, create sponsorship opportunities, and lead campaigns that align with our mission.

In this role you’ll manage end-to-end events, coordinate with Marketing, Annual Fund, and Foundations Relations, and provide impact reporting to partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business administration, nonprofit management, communications, finance, marketing, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in special events, fundraising, corporate relations, sponsorship sales, donor relations, or nonprofit development.
• Strong working knowledge of fundraising platforms and email tools with the ability to set up events and campaigns, manage donor information, and pull reports.
• Demonstrated success in securing and renewing corporate support or managing external partnerships.
• Strong relationship building and customer service skills with donors, sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and colleagues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising events from concept to completion.
• Set up and manage events across platforms (pages, tickets, donations, communications).
• Develop digital solicitations for ongoing initiatives and events.
• Partner with Marketing on event promotion and sponsor recognition.
• Plan internal staff fundraising campaigns and track results.
• Prepare reports tracking revenue, expenses, participation, and outcomes.
• Meet annual corporate revenue goals through sponsorships and renewals.
• Develop sponsorship packages and secure financial or in-kind support.
• Manage corporate relationships from outreach to fulfillment and renewal.
• Implement stewardship initiatives with recognition and impact reporting.
• Coordinate corporate volunteer visits with a welcome package.
• Provide regular updates on the corporate pipeline and results.
• Represent HHS at events to raise awareness.
