EMERGE Scholars is seeking a Manager, Event Operations in Houston, TX. This role drives execution for EMERGE's centralized event portfolio and STE trips, translating strategy into reliable on-site delivery for scholars, families, partners, and donors.

You will own logistics, registration, materials, staffing, vendor coordination, and post-event follow-up, ensuring the operational plan aligns with the intended audience experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in event management, event production, operations, or related field.
• Experience coordinating vendors, venues, contracts, and event logistics.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; independent working ability.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute events per EMERGE's process and lead times.
• Maintain event workplans, timelines, trackers, and notes.
• Manage logistics across internal teams and external partners.
• Prepare event budgets and track spending; escalate risks.
• Coordinate invoices, receipts, and financial documentation for reconciliation.
• Develop and maintain a vendor bench with reliable options.
