Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business seeks an Event Manager to lead planning and execution of approx. 25 annual events, focusing on donor engagement, leadership engagement, and brand elevation.

You will collaborate with college leadership, Advancement, HTM, and student teams to deliver high-quality, mission-aligned experiences. The role oversees budgets, vendor contracts, logistics, and on-site operations, with opportunities for professional development and cross-campus collaboration.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or significant experience in event management.
• Experience planning and executing events from planning through closeout.
• Experience coordinating venues, catering, technology, registration, staffing, transportation, or on-site operations.
• Experience managing event budgets, financial reconciliation, purchasing processes and resource allocation.
• Strong project management skills to lead multiple concurrent initiatives and meet deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Lead planning and execution of approximately 25 events annually across donor engagement, leadership engagement, employee experience and community building.
• Develop event timelines, budgets, logistics, and staffing plans; coordinate venues, vendors, catering, technology, and on-site operations.
• Partner with college leadership, Advancement, and academic units to deliver high-quality events aligned with strategic priorities and branding.
• Evaluate event outcomes and implement continuous improvements.
