Upgrade Resources seeks an Estimating Manager for commercial construction in Dallas, TX. This hybrid full-time role focuses on preparing cost estimates for bids and negotiated proposals, leveraging company processes, and collaborating with operations, field staff, trade partners, and clients.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of commercial estimating experience, strong trade partner relationships, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Established positive trade partner relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in MS Excel and estimating software; able to read drawings and specs.
• Strong communication, verbal and written; able to present clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex cost estimates for bids and negotiated proposals.
• Perform quantity surveys from project plans and maintain audit trails.
• Outline project specs; develop scopes of work for all trades and manage responsibility matrix.
• Lead vendor and subcontractor bid solicitation, pricing, and coordination.
• Prepare material and cost summaries from quotes and coordinate bid day packages.
• Track value creation items from development through documentation.
• Apply project schedule knowledge and assist with system analyses of components and MEPs.
• Collaborate with operations and field staff to develop economical build methods.
• Participate in procurement presentations and deliver comprehensive estimates.
• Improve project profitability by understanding insurance structures, fees, and rates.
• Provide training and mentorship to others and build relationships.
