Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking a Senior Associate in its Equity Research team to support the lead analyst covering the Software sector. The role involves building financial models, drafting research notes, and engaging with institutional clients globally.

You will work at the intersection of sector analysis, AI-driven methods, and direct client impact within Citi's globally connected team. Strong modeling, communication, and licensing readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in sell-side equity research or related investment research function.
• Ability to build and maintain complex financial models with accounting and valuation knowledge.
• Experience supporting senior research analysts and preparing client-facing materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication translating financial analysis into clear narratives.
• Licensed or eligible for SIE, Series 63, 86, 87.

Responsibilities

• Build and update detailed financial models for Software sector companies.
• Draft and co-author equity research publications for institutional clients.
• Respond to inquiries from clients with timely, informed perspectives on software sector developments.
• Coordinate investor events and manage field trips to ensure strong client experience.
• Apply AI tools to enhance research workflows and outputs.
• Mentor junior team members and support a high-performing research environment.
• Evaluate investments with sound judgment, upholding regulatory and ethical standards.
