Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Commercial Sector Project/Client Manager in Chicago, IL for a full-time hybrid role. The candidate will manage environmental due diligence, site investigation, and remediation projects while developing new business opportunities and client relationships.

The ideal candidate has a robust technical background, 8–15 years of experience, and strong writing and communication skills to lead proposals and capture strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil/environmental engineering, geology, or environmental science.
• 8–15 years of related experience.
• HAZWOPER certification with 8-hour refresher.
• Excellent writing, communication, and regulatory knowledge.
• Experience managing private or public sector environmental projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management and technical support for due diligence, site investigation and remediation for commercial clients.
• Serve as primary client contact and foster long-term relationships.
• Develop scopes, schedules, and budgets at project and corporate levels.
• Prepare proposals and technical documents with limited supervision.
• Mentor staff and contribute to a high-performing team.
