Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an Environmental Remediation Specialist to support complex site investigations and remediation projects. The role spans field investigations, design, and operation of remediation technologies, with opportunities to lead projects and mentor junior staff.

Based in the United States, the position offers remote/hybrid work, travel to project sites, and a path to advanced technical leadership within a global environmental team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Environmental Engineering from an accredited program.
• 3–8 years of related remediation experience.
• Master's degree in Geology or Environmental Engineering with remediation focus is preferred.
• Experience evaluating, designing, implementing remediation technologies.
• Experience with groundwater monitoring, soil investigations, remediation systems, and data evaluation.
• Strong project management, organization, and time management skills.
• Strong writing, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access) with spreadsheets and reporting.
• Current 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification with refresher.
• Willingness to travel and conduct field work, including extended field hours.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform groundwater monitoring, free-product recovery, and soil investigations.
• Oversee installations and abandonments of monitoring wells and vapor probes.
• Support evaluation, design, implementation, and operation of remediation technologies.
• Manage, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot remediation systems.
• Prepare technical reports, memoranda, and client deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, subcontractors, and internal teams.
