Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to support an assigned Managing Consultant in environmental assessment and remediation projects in Illinois and the Midwest. Hybrid/remote schedule based in Chicago office.

You will coordinate with field staff and subcontractors, manage budgets and milestones, prepare final reports, and ensure high quality work while upholding company values of learning and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related field with years of experience.
• Experience managing environmental assessment and remediation projects.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Managing Consultant in execution of tasks and on-time work products.
• Coordinate with field staff and subcontractors to complete investigations and remediation.
• Ensure project milestones and budgets are met.
• Prepare and submit final reports in compliance with regulations.
