Job summary

Spencer Ogden is partnering with a growing environmental consulting firm in the Seattle area to recruit a Project Engineer. The role focuses on contaminated-site investigation and remediation across DoD programs in the Pacific Northwest, including CERCLA and RCRA projects.

The position offers hybrid work in Seattle with periodic field assignments and interaction with regulatory agencies and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Approximately 8+ years of environmental consulting or engineering experience.
• Strong background in environmental investigation and remediation.
• Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, USTs, contaminated soil or groundwater restoration programs.
• Experience with remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial actions or remedial design.
• Ability to manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating field activities.
• Federal, DoD, NAVFAC, USACE or other government environmental project experience is highly desirable.
• HAZWOPER training is preferred.
• AutoCAD, GIS or other environmental software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support CERCLA/RCRA environmental investigation and remediation projects.
• Prepare technical documents (PA/SI/RI/FS/work plans/design reports).
• Evaluate contaminated soil and groundwater data.
• Assist with remediation system installation, operation, and optimization.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate subcontractors and field activities.
• Analyze environmental data and present findings in reports and presentations.
• Work with clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams.
• Support DoD/NAVFAC projects and other federal programs.
• Participate in field assignments across the Pacific Northwest.
