Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Engineer II to join our Seattle, Washington office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental engineering, including groundwater, soil vapor, soil sampling, and site remediation.

Responsibilities include remediation system operation and maintenance, project leadership under a PM, coordinating subs contractors, data analysis, and mentoring junior staff. Travel within the Pacific Northwest is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field is required.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in environmental engineering.
Valid driver's license required and ability to pass MVR check.
Ability to pass a background check.
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

Remediation system operation and maintenance.
Serve as the task lead for environmental projects under supervision of a Project Manager.
Coordinate subcontractors and field/support staff.
Provide project and task support including data analysis, report preparation, cost estimating, remedial action planning, and design support.
Gather and correlate engineering data using established procedures.
Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level engineers.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop environmental solutions.
Perform routine engineering calculations and evaluations.
Work to meet budgets and schedules with minimal supervision.
Support projects throughout Washington and the Pacific Northwest; conduct field work as needed.
