Fuss & O’Neill is seeking an Environmental Process Engineer in Hartford, CT, to join our Environmental Compliance team. The role blends engineering design with regulatory compliance, field work, and client collaboration across the Northeast.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• PE or EIT preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Industrial wastewater treatment design experience a plus.
• Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally outside region.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop industrial wastewater, environmental treatment, remediation, and air pollution control systems.
• Prepare plans, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation for treatment and storage tank systems.
• Use AutoCAD to develop engineering drawings and design documents.
• Evaluate existing systems and identify operational or compliance issues.
• Support equipment selection, construction observation, startup, and commissioning.
• Review environmental permits and regulatory requirements for clients.
• Conduct field investigations, sampling, and data collection.
