Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Professional | Assistant Project Manager in Hartford, CT. This hybrid role blends in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility while leading environmental projects for a range of clients.

You’ll mentor junior staff, support site investigations, remediation, brownfield redevelopment, and permitting under CT rules, and contribute to proposals. A 6+ year background in environmental consulting and strong technical writing are essential;

Qualifications

• 6+ years of environmental consulting or related experience.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Hybrid work arrangement with in-office collaboration and remote work.
• Desire to grow into project management and client leadership roles.
• Remediation design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and provide technical leadership on environmental projects including site investigations, remediation, brownfield redevelopment, and permitting.
• Assist with project coordination, scheduling, and oversight of field staff and subcontractors.
• Prepare technical reports, regulatory documentation, and client deliverables per CT regulations and company standards.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Contribute to proposal development, client engagement, and business development.
• Mentor junior staff and grow team capabilities.
• Support a diverse client base across utility, industrial, commercial, and development sectors.
