Job summary

GFT is seeking an Entry Level Environmental Planner to join our Environmental Practice in Mechanicsburg, PA. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum 3 days of onsite office attendance.

You will support environmental planning and compliance for transportation, infrastructure, and public-sector projects, with a focus on NEPA documentation and environmental review activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, Geography, or related field.
• 0-3 years of professional experience in environmental planning or GIS.
• Experience with NEPA documentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with NEPA documentation, environmental assessments, and related deliverables.
• Support environmental reviews for transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Conduct regulatory research to identify project requirements and constraints.
• Prepare CE/EA/EIS documentation.
• Support permitting and agency coordination.
• Develop maps and GIS analyses; collect and analyze environmental data.
