GFT is seeking an Associate Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Practice in Mechanicsburg, PA. You will support environmental assessment, compliance, and remediation projects, with opportunities for field investigations and regulatory reporting.

The role offers flexible work arrangements, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and a path to grow within a multidisciplinary environmental team serving North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of professional experience in environmental consulting or related field.
• Understanding of environmental regulations, ecology, wetlands, mapping, and related areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical support on wetlands, streams, habitats, and regulatory permitting.
• Participate in wetland delineation fieldwork, sediment sampling, and stream/forest assessments (travel ~20%).
• Deliver professional services accurately and on time, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Assist in writing technical reports and project documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and team members on project status.
