Job summary

Stantec seeks an Environmental Planner Project Manager or Deputy PM to lead NEPA projects with schedules and budgets, coordinating a multi-disciplinary team and maintaining client communications. This role reports to the Solana Beach, CA office but allows remote hybrid work options.

Requirements include 5+ years of NEPA project management, a bachelor’s in environmental sciences or related field, and strong writing and analytical skills. Military project experience and AICP are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5 years of project management experience with NEPA.
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, biology, geology, chemistry, or related field.
• Strong technical writing, analytical and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead NEPA projects as Environmental Planner PM or Deputy PM.
• Manage schedule, budget, and team coordination; ensure QA and client communications.
• Mentor junior planners in regulatory processes and NEPA analysis.
• Oversee office and field-based teams, contracts, and deliverables.
