Job summary

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is seeking an Early Career Environmental Geologist/Engineer to join our Plymouth Meeting, PA office.

This role offers hybrid work and opportunities to grow in site investigation, remediation, and environmental compliance across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. You will work under project managers and principals, gaining field and office experience while developing technical, regulatory, and communication skills for long‑term growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant environmental consulting experience (site investigation, remediation, permitting, or construction management).
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) or Geologist‑in‑Training (GIT) preferred.
• Completed 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and ability to travel locally/regionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform field tasks such as drilling oversight, soil and groundwater sampling, soil vapor sampling, and construction oversight.
• Monitor and document field activities with focus on safety, quality, and detail.
• Conduct technical analyses and assist with interpretation of environmental data.
• Prepare field notes, data tables, figures, and permit materials.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Principals, and laboratories to support project delivery.
• Support multidisciplinary projects across practice areas and locations.
