Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer to be based in the Philadelphia area, supporting environmental compliance, remediation, permitting and planning within the Environment line. The role involves site visits, data collection, environmental sampling, and reporting under supervision, with projects across PA/NJ/MD/VA and travel as needed.

The position is full-time, with a hybrid work model and a start window of May–June/July 2027.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or related engineering discipline is required.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.
Valid U.S. Driver's License is required and candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

Responsibilities

Site visits at industrial, military bases, and municipal clients.
Data collection and analysis for environmental compliance, sustainability, and stormwater projects.
Environmental sampling (e.g., stormwater, wastewater, and hazardous waste).
Development of technical memoranda and reports.
Preparation of environmental reporting forms.
Local travel is likely; U.S. travel may be required depending on the project.
