Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Water Resources Engineer to join our Remediation team in the Environment business line. The position can be based in Chelmsford, MA, Boston, MA, or New York, NY, with a June 2027 start date (flexible).

The role involves delivering remediation consulting services across New England, supporting stormwater design, data collection, and environmental reporting. You will work with a diverse team of engineers and project managers, handling field sampling, BMP

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological/Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
• Engineer-in-training certification within six months of employment.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Valid U.S Driver’s License and must pass AECOM Motor Vehicle screening.
• Ability to travel locally, including occasional extended travel.
• Preferred knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, and environmental engineering basics.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, construction, and maintenance of stormwater infrastructure and BMPs.
• Perform field work including environmental sampling and BMP inspections.
• Prepare construction documents, engineering reports, and basic data documents.
• Support hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality modeling and geospatial evaluations.
• Prepare written and graphic reports and learn through on-the-job experience.
• Conduct design under supervision of an experienced engineer.
