CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team. This role supports planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and project performance across projects of basic complexity.

Under direct supervision, you will develop schedules, monitor costs, and assist with earned value management while collaborating with project managers and teams. This hybrid position offers growth within a reputable engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Entry level knowledge of project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, and finance and accounting concepts.
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills in fast paced environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Primavera and EcoSys.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with internal procedures and gathers project progress information to update and monitor basic complexity projects.
• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs; updates requirements as needed.
• Monitors progress of project deliverables and performs routine financial analyses.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and drafts client and internal status reports.
