Job summary

Kingland is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Ames, IA team and contribute to secure, scalable enterprise software solutions. You will work with Go, Java, and C#, collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver reliable software.

This role emphasizes clean coding practices, API-first design, and DevSecOps, with opportunities for growth and hands-on testing in a collaborative setting at our US offices in Ames, Clear Lake, and Fort Myers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/CE is required.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Enterprise software development using Go, Java, C# or other languages.
• Database development using SQL on PostgreSQL or similar.
• Knowledge of clean code, API-first development, and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, performant, and maintainable code for Kingland Platform solutions.
• Participate in Agile development; deliver working software in short iterations.
• Improve engineering principles to ensure quality and velocity.
• Use automated builds and deployments to run integration tests.
• Identify, fix, and communicate defects throughout the process.
• Collaborate with teammates and clients from requirements to deployment.
