Job summary

Georgia Piedmont Technical College is seeking a full-time English instructor for the Arts & Sciences Program. The role reports to the School Dean and may require day/evening/distance learning classes across multiple campuses. A hybrid work arrangement is available at the Dekalb Campus.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited college in English.
• 18 graduate semester hours (or equivalent quarter hours) in the program of study.
• Strong computer skills and ability to interact effectively with a diverse student population.
• Willingness to teach day/evening/distance learning and across multiple campuses.
• Two years’ experience teaching at the collegiate level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates appropriate teaching techniques.
• Maintains an accurate grade book and related records.
• Understands and can teach the subject matter effectively.
• Follows approved course syllabi.
• Completes all documentation related to assigned courses in a timely manner.
• Teaches day, evening, and online classes as scheduling requires.
