Job summary

Ecolab is offering an Engineering Technical Sales Internship for Summer 2027. You will merge engineering fundamentals with consultative sales to support energy and water-saving solutions for a large customer base.

The program includes hands-on projects, safety training, field site experiences, and exposure to digital technology solutions. It may lead to a full-time role upon graduation and offers relocation assistance where available.

Qualifications

Pursuing undergraduate degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial) graduating in December 2027 or Summer 2028.

Responsibilities

Complete independent project(s) under trainer’s direction to yield calculated ROI.
Complete safety training and technical lessons introducing water treatment applications.
Observe and participate in service to customers ensuring accurate chemical application and documentation.
Learn the consultative sales approach through introductory training.
Visit multiple customer sites regionally (40–100% field time) to learn best practices and applications.
Build relationships with departments and personnel critical to field success.
Develop technical knowledge across regional sales districts while helping customers meet sustainability goals.
Provide routine service support to Sales Representative; may involve Boilers, Cooling towers, Closed loops, RO and filtration.
