Ecolab offers an Engineering Technical Sales Intern program for summer 2027, combining engineering analysis with consultative sales. You’ll work on projects to improve energy and water efficiency, learn field-based problem solving, and build long-term customer relationships across diverse sites.

The 11-week paid internship supports relocation within the United States and may include a hybrid work model, balancing field days with remote work.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial).
• Graduating in December 2027 or Summer 2028.
• Immigration sponsorship not available for this role.
• 11-week paid internship program starting June 1st.
• Position requires a valid US driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Complete an independent project(s) under primary trainer's direction to yield calculated ROI.
• Complete safety training and technical lessons related to water treatment applications.
• Observe and participate in on-site customer service to ensure correct chemical application and process optimization.
• Learn the consultative sales approach through introductory training.
• Visit multiple customer sites across the region (40–100% of training time in field).
• Build relationships with departments and personnel critical to field success.
• Work within regional sales districts to gain technical knowledge and sales experience while helping customers achieve sustainability goals.
• Provide routine service support to Sales Representative; testing may include Boilers, Cooling towers, Closed loops, RO and filtration.
