Job summary

Ecolab is offering an Engineering Technical Sales Intern program for Summer 2027. You will blend engineering analysis with consultative sales to support energy and water preservation, improve customer productivity, and learn long-term relationship building with a large customer base.

Expect hands-on field experience across regional districts, safety and technical training, and opportunities to join a full-time Associate District Representative role upon successful completion.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Industrial).
• Graduating in December 2027 or Summer 2028.
• A valid US driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.

Responsibilities

• Complete independent projects under trainer's direction to yield ROI insights.
• Complete safety training and technical lessons for water treatment applications.
• Observe and participate in field service to ensure proper chemical application and process optimization.
• Learn and apply the consultative sales approach during training.
• Visit multiple customer sites (40–100% of training) to learn best practices and applications.
• Build relationships with internal departments and key stakeholders for field success.
• Develop technical knowledge across regional sales districts while helping customers meet sustainability goals.
• Provide routine service support to Sales Representatives; may involve testing Boilers, Cooling towers, RO and filtration.
