Job summary

Eversource Energy in Hartford/Westwood/Manchester seeks an Analyst, Strategy and Economics to support Transmission through electricity market modeling, data analysis, and industry research. This role informs how transmission enables clean energy growth and decarbonization in New England.

Initially focus on historical data and economic models, with potential to work on carbon flow tracking software and collaborate with engineers and external experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Economics, Finance, or the equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of related experience.
• Experience with production cost modeling tools preferred (PLEXOS, Gridview, PROMOD) and/or power system analysis software. Python experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support team’s economic analysis with production cost and capacity expansion modeling.
• Research, analyze, and document modeling input assumptions and results.
• Assist carbon flow modeling software development, testing and implementation.
• Support process-improvement initiatives in economic analysis.
• Collaborate with internal/external groups via data analysis and research.
• Track federal/state clean energy policies and transmission opportunities.
• Develop reports, prepare presentations, and write procedures.
