Job summary

Xcel Energy in Denver is seeking an intern to provide technical support for Mass Market programs, helping customers use energy more efficiently and contributing to the energy transition. As an intern you’ll analyze customer projects, collaborate with engineers, and write code (Python or VBA) to automate workflows and energy modeling.

Strong Excel skills, data analytics coursework, and good communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current student,Junior or higher (as of Fall 2027) enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week) or part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week).
• Commutable to the designated work location in-person per hybrid policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Mass Market programs and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers to share technical information across teams.
• Write code (Python or VBA) to analyze energy datasets and automate workflows.
