Job summary

Aon is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney with firm experience to support our People Organization and leadership in Chicago, IL. This hybrid role combines virtual work with our Chicago office, offering strategic legal guidance across the employee lifecycle and compliance with federal, state, and local laws. You will advise on restrictive covenants, manage investigations, and collaborate with HR and business leaders.

JD required; U.S. bar in good standing; in-house experience a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of employment law experience with a law firm.
• JD and active bar membership in good standing.
• In-house experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Routinely advise HR and leaders on employee life cycle and covenants.
• Advise on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Assist with employment litigation with outside counsel, including disputes and wage/hour claims.
• Draft employment, separation, and compensation agreements.
• Support internal investigations and handling of investigations.
