Job summary

Bowditch & Dewey, LLP is seeking an experienced Employment Associate to support assigning attorneys in a variety of matters, including litigation, counseling, drafting, investigations, and training. The role may reside in Boston, Southborough, or Worcester with a hybrid schedule and three in-office days.

The position is full-time and requires 3–8 years in employment law, a strong academic record, and Massachusetts Bar admission.

Qualifications

• Three (3)–eight (8) years of employment law experience.
• Proven representation of employers in employment disputes.
• Licensed to practice in Massachusetts (Massachusetts Bar).

Responsibilities

• Draft, revise, and negotiate employment policies, handbooks, agreements, and releases.
• Counsel employers on HR and compliance matters.
• Litigate employment disputes, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wage/hour issues.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence.
• Assist in all phases of litigation, including depositions and mediations.
