Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Towson location, is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join the power tools engineering team in a hybrid work model. The role emphasizes designing and integrating electro-mechanical systems for motor-driven power tools, with strong CAD and PCB understanding.

You will collaborate across functions to deliver robust products from concept to production. The ideal candidate brings a mechanical engineering degree, 3–5 years of relevant experience, CATIA proficiency, GD&T

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of product development experience for high-volume electronic modules.
• Proficient in CATIA; able to produce detailed 2D drawings.
• Familiar with PCB design and integration.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.
• Experience with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and costs.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electro-mechanical systems and motor controls with 3D modeling.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Industrial Design, Reliability, Compliance, Sourcing, Manufacturing.
• Release product specs, RFQ packets, and costed BOMs; work with suppliers.
• Contribute to development of electro-mechanical modules for power tools.
• Perform tolerance stack-ups, DFMEA/PFMEA, process control plans, and changes.
• Conduct structural, thermal, airflow, and FEA analyses; perform testing.
• Drive root cause analysis and support manufacturing, DFM initiatives.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, and quality standards compliance.
• Manage multiple projects with schedule, cost objectives; provide status updates.
