Job summary

Schneider Electric in Fairfield, OH is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to design low and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies and related equipment in compliance with IEEE/ANSI, IEC, and NEC/NFPA 70E standards. You will join the Modernization Team and own electrical control and protection schemes for new and retrofitted projects, with on-site work initially and potential for remote days.

Electrical Engineering degree required.
4 years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience.
Experience in electrical design of switchgear/switchboard or power distribution products (low/medium voltage).
Experience with Schneider Electric power distribution products preferred.
Manufacturing experience.
Ability to travel 2-3 days per month.

Responsibilities

Design and coordinate electrical control and protection schemes for low- and medium-voltage switchgear.
Create drawings, one lines, foundation drawings, wire lists, and BOMs for approval.
Own and manage large electrical projects with minimal supervision.
Coordinate with plant engineering for project execution.
Engage in strategy discussions with sales, quotation, and project management teams.
Review customer documents to develop harmonized Schneider Electric solutions.
Conduct order reviews for accuracy and compliance.
Design control schemes and utilize PLCs/relays for efficient solutions.
Create, test, and troubleshoot electrical schemes.
Work with Modbus, metering, and circuit monitoring applications.
Support production, QA, and site assessments.
