Job summary

Ellaway Blues Consulting is seeking an Electrical Project Manager for a client in Kansas City. The role combines onsite work with remote work and oversees multiple turnkey power generation projects within a growing internal EPC function.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and about 6 years of related experience, including 2+ years in engineering project management or as a lead discipline engineer in an EPC environment. A PE or EIT is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 6 years of work-related experience.
• 2+ years of engineering project management or lead level discipline engineer experience in an EPC environment.
• PE or EIT is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Client facing and will manage scope, budget, and schedule of projects, including change management.
• Provide third party engineering oversight and engineering management for the multi-disciplined engineering team.
• Responsible for development and/or system integration of control, electrical, mechanical, structural and process designs.
• Own the technical design of the project and be the engineer of record or engineering lead for a specific discipline.
• Develop the engineering project team vision, identify priorities, and align with operational goals.
• Mentor and develop team members including technical guidance to others regarding projects and disciplines.
• Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and a means to manage KPI tracking and reporting.
• Stay up to date with latest technology and industry practices and apply them practically.
