Job summary

JM Family Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead Georgia-based EHS programs at Commerce VPC, STS Trucking, and Norcross PDC.

You will partner with site leaders to drive consistent EHS execution and reduce risk across the footprint. You will oversee incident investigations, training, and regulatory compliance while leveraging technology to improve metrics and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 7-10+ years of progressive EHS experience, including demonstrated people leadership and accountability for program execution.
• Experience leading or coordinating EHS across multiple locations and influencing partners without direct authority preferred.
• ASP or CSP certification preferred but not required.
• Experience in warehousing, vehicle processing, logistics, trucking, or light industrial environments preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards and NFPA requirements.
• Experience with environmental compliance programs, including air, wastewater/stormwater, regulated waste, storage tanks, and hazardous materials.
• Experience working with regulatory agencies and interpreting regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Proficiency with modern digital productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform, SharePoint, reporting and data visualization tools, and AI‑enabled solutions such as Copilot), with the ability to learn and adapt to new platforms quickly.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly to Norcross, GA, and occasionally to other company locations.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular alignment with site leaders to translate enterprise EHS expectations into site priorities and performance measures.
• Directly supervise and develop the Norcross-based EHS professional, including work planning and performance management.
• Establish communication rhythms (site visits, recurring check-ins, virtual touchpoints) to support execution and issue escalation.
• Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance, risk management, and regulatory compliance through data insights and best practices.
• Advise Operations on EHS considerations for daily operations, capital projects, and contractor activities.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize EHS risks and strengthen controls for higher-risk activities.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions with timely follow-up.
• Manage EHS compliance and life-safety requirements including inspections, permits, audits, and recordkeeping.
• Prepare and review leading/lagging indicators and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Coordinate, develop, and deliver EHS training for associates, leaders, and contractors.
• Prepare EHS-related presentations and reports for site, regional, and enterprise stakeholders.
• Utilize EHS technology platforms for incident management, inspections, audits, and inventories.
• Collaborate with external vendors providing EHS-related services and manage performance issues with procurement/operations.
• Identify opportunities to standardize and adopt enterprise EHS best practices.
