Job summary

Staffmark Group seeks an eCommerce Merchandising Coordinator in Oak Brook, IL on a contract-to-hire basis. The role supports the eCommerce Merchant team with item maintenance, online assortment updates, and promotional setup to drive online sales and improve the customer experience.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and eager to learn, collaborating with Merchandising, Marketing, Digital Product, Operations, Analytics, Inventory, and Vendors to ensure a high-quality online shopping

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, eCommerce, Analytics, Retail, or related field; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
• 1-3 years of experience preferred in eCommerce, merchandising, marketing, category management, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word. Use of Salesforce for documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-through and attention to detail
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendor partners.
• Working knowledge of retail and eCommerce business fundamentals is ideal.
• Ability and willingness to learn and navigate eCommerce systems and platforms, including workflow/project management tools, design and collaboration platforms, product information management systems, analytics platforms, and promotional systems.
• Understanding of digital merchandising principles and online customer experience best practices.
• Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn eCommerce merchandising and digital retail strategy.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured development program designed to build eCommerce merchandising knowledge, systems expertise, and digital retail best practices.
• Support eCommerce Merchants with item maintenance, online assortment updates, promotional setup, site merchandising, and execution across applicable eCommerce platforms and systems.
• Assist with planning, execution, and validation of online promotions, including offer setup, promotional funding validation, credits/debits, testing, proofing, and post-launch quality assurance.
• Coordinate vendor-related eCommerce activities, including onboarding support, communications, performance monitoring, operational compliance, documentation, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Support the administration and ongoing operations of the company's direct-to-consumer vendor fulfillment program.
• Partner with Digital Marketing, Digital Operations, Product Content, Inventory, Analytics, Vendor Engagement, and other cross-functional teams to execute eCommerce initiatives.
• Analyze sales performance, promotional results, assortment gaps, customer trends, and vendor performance to identify opportunities and provide actionable insights.
• Develop productive working relationships with vendors and assist with onboarding, promotional planning and execution, content collection, digital asset management, and issue resolution.
• Assist Merchandising leadership with special projects, reporting, process improvement, documentation, and administrative activities.
